JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS (2) Poster art version

JUMPERS FOR GOALPOSTS (2) Poster art version
And those were the halcyon days of youth and glory as we strolled as warriors, carefree through life’s avenues and alleyways, caring little for actions and consequence, seeking little more than the fun of exploration and the reward of laughter and adolescent amusement.

We were soldiers of fortune, victims of nothing but fate and circumstance as we spiralled unwittingly and unwillingly towards the tomorrow of our adulthood from the today and yesterday of our innocence. Sand and sea, sunrise and sunset, ‘kiss me quick’ hats and sweet tasting candy floss wrapped tightly around the wooden sticks held within our clammy hands. We lived for the now and cared little for the trials and tribulations of life that seemed to loom large on the horizon with ominous oppression.

Friends one and all, ties of blood and flesh that we swore would be broken by neither time nor man, naked flesh and bitter cold water as the tide turned and the light faded on our impromptu games. Jumpers for goalposts, cheeky grins and devilment in the air. Those were the best days of our lives before the rude awakening.

We just didn’t know it.

Bournemouth: Webster's Timeline History, 1738 - 2007
Webster’s bibliographic and event-based timelines are comprehensive in scope, covering virtually all topics, geographic locations and people. They do so from a linguistic point of view, and in the case of this book, the focus is on “Bournemouth,” including when used in literature (e.g. all authors that might have Bournemouth in their name). As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Bournemouth when it is used in proper noun form. Webster’s timelines cover bibliographic citations, patented inventions, as well as non-conventional and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities in usage. These furthermore cover all parts of speech (possessive, institutional usage, geographic usage) and contexts, including pop culture, the arts, social sciences (linguistics, history, geography, economics, sociology, political science), business, computer science, literature, law, medicine, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and other physical sciences. This “data dump” results in a comprehensive set of entries for a bibliographic and/or event-based timeline on the proper name Bournemouth, since editorial decisions to include or exclude events is purely a linguistic process. The resulting entries are used under license or with permission, used under “fair use” conditions, used in agreement with the original authors, or are in the public domain.
